Ashley chose the job as an actress because when she was younger she wanted to be a model but was told that she wasn't tall enough.
She was told that she should focus on commercials. After taking commercial and acting classes, she fell in love with it and preferred acting over modeling. She the graduated school early at the age of 17 and moved to L.A. to pursue an acting career. Since then she has appeared on many television shows. Ashley became big in 2008 when she was cast as Alice Cullen in the film Twilight. Twilight is a film based on the novel by Stephanie Meyer.

Some of Ashleys friends are the twilight cast, of course. She is good friends with chace crawford,she also has a good relationship with her brother sister. She is very close to Kellan Lutz who was also in Twilight, he played Emmett. Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley have also hung out before.
